DVD Cover for Seven Days with Seven DogsSeven Days with Seven Dogs

In Seven Days with Seven Dogs, we bundled our seven rescued dogs into our old Bongo Bus van, and took off on a road trip to fulfil mature aged kelpie Suki’s supposedly last request – to go on a holiday and film it.

This is truly a heart-warming and uplifting story, chock full of joyful dogs exploring life and having fun, and we manage to weave in lots of helpful hints on dog care along the way. Meet and learn from late animal homoeopath Jackie Fitzgerald, and alternative vet Bruce Syme.

Filmed in some of Australia's most beautiful places, and shot by AFI Award winning cinematographer Anthony Jennings, the documentary follows Suki, Louie, Tala, Twylah, Cedar, Willow and Raffi as they do everything from stay in five-star resort accommodation to taking a horse-drawn gypsy caravan ride.

Because humans aren't the only ones who need to smell the roses.

Poster for Finding JoyFinding Joy feature film

The feature film Finding Joy won Billie an AFTI award for Best Actress and was the launch feature for the Spiritual Cinema Circle.  It’s an upbeat love story about finding your song and having the courage to sing it.  And as Stephen Simon, founder of the Spiritual Cinema Circle said: “It makes you feel good about being a human”.  Laugh and cry as you follow Joy along the bumpy road of self–discovery, courage and love.

Set to the backdrop of the folk music scene in an arty country town, the story shows how the love for a stray dog can change your life. When Joy says yes to Raffi, she steps onto her path of destiny with friends like tarot-card reading Tessa (Janet Watson-Kruse), true love Peter Wolfman (Andrew Einspruch) and bucket loads of doubt

The film celebrates universal themes of friendship, low self-esteem, love relationships, and the joy of dogs. It features us wearing our comedy hats, and is filled with fabulous foot-tapping and soul-stirring folk music to keep you uplifted, inspired, entertained and enlightened.

93 minutes. Available on DVD. Soundtrack album CD also available.

Finding Joy Soundtrack Album DVD CoverFinding Joy soundtrack album

At every meet-the-filmmaker session we have did for Finding Joy, someone asked for a Finding Joy soundtrack album. And it's no mystery why. The music in the film is, quite simply, some of the best folk music that Australia has to offer.

So we are thrilled to have been able to put together a soundtrack CD. It features the "Finding Joy" title track from Rick Grossman of the Hoodoo Gurus, the rollicking music of Katysha and Malumba, the haunting sounds of Tribe World Ensemble (who have also done much of the music for our documentary This Sacred Earth: The 2012 Phenomenon), some of the pieces that Peter and Joy perform in the movie, and much, much more. The album delivers over 1 1/4 hours of fabulous music.
